Delete your account
Last updated 19 August 2026
You can delete your Noshbook account and the data stored with it at any time. There are two ways to do it, and you do not need the app installed to use the second one.
From inside the app
This is the fastest route, and it happens immediately.
- Open Noshbook and go to the You tab.
- Tap the settings icon.
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
If you signed in a while ago you may be asked to sign in again first — that is a safety check, so nobody else can delete your account from an unattended phone.
By email
If you have already removed the app, cannot sign in, or would just rather we did it, email info@noshbook.app from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. Sending from that address is how we confirm the request is really yours.
We will action it and confirm back to you within 30 days, and normally much sooner. There is no charge, and we will not ask you to give a reason.
What gets deleted
- your profile, including your display name, bio, photo and cover image;
- your personal board, saved items, and anything kept for later;
- recipes, recommendations and finds you published;
- photos you uploaded;
- your follow relationships, in both directions;
- your sign-in account itself.
This cannot be undone, and we cannot restore an account once it is gone.
What does not get deleted
Two things deliberately outlive the account, and it is only fair to be upfront about them:
- Messages you sent to other peoplestay in those people’s conversations, in the same way a sent email stays in the recipient’s inbox.
- Abuse reports are kept, so that an account which has been blocked or banned cannot wipe the record by deleting and signing up again.
Content other people already saved or screenshotted is also beyond our reach, as it would be anywhere. Crash reports contain no personal identifiers and expire on their own schedule, typically within 90 days.
Just want a break?
You do not have to delete everything. You can unpublish individual recipes, delete single items, empty your food interests, or turn off what your profile shares — all from Settings, and all without closing the account.
